Trade-Ins

Trade-ins are a great way to upgrade and, depending on the equipment in question, it can make a big contribution to the purchase costs of new equipment.  MBS Audio does not process customer trade-ins directly.  Instead, we partner with a company that specialises in second-hand, high-end hi-fi equipment.  MBS Audio receives the trade-in price which is then used as a deposit for your new purchase.

The process works as follows:

  1. You give MBS Audio all the details of the item(s) you would like to offer for trade-in.

  2. MBS Audio passes this information on to our partner company.

  3. The partner company informs MBS Audio of the offer for the item(s).

  4. MBS Audio advises you of the offer for your item(s).

  5. If the offer is acceptable you then send the item to MBS Audio for pre-inspection

  6. Upon receipt of the item(s), the partner company transfers the agreed offer amount to MBS Audio.

  7. MBS Audio contacts you to confirm the trade-in amount and will deduct the amount from the purchase price as a credit.

Example

  1. You want to purchase the Ideon Audio eos Time USB Reclocker at £6,550.00

  2. You have a DAC that you want to trade in for the USB Reclocker.

  3. MBS Audio sends details to the partner company which offers £1,300.00.

  4. If you accept the offer, the partner company will transfer £1,300.00 to MBS Audio.

  5. MBS Audio credits £1,300.00 to your invoice as a trade-in price.  In this case, you would receive an invoice of £5,250.00 as the balance for the Ideon Audio eos Time USB Reclocker.

£6,550.00 [eos Time] minus £1,300.00 [Trade-in price of DAC]  = £5,250.00 [invoice]
