Synergistic Research Excite SX Atmosphere Analogue Interconnect

Excite SX RCA interconnects start with two 5th Generation Tricon Silver Matrix geometries running in parallel. We then add two hand-made Air String Geometries featuring pure 6-9’s silver conductors in an Air Dialectric. For XLR, we run four Air String geometries for a genuinely balanced XLR cable. We then apply the same High-Frequency Long Duration Conditioning Process originally developed for our state-of-the-art SRX cable loom.

The same conditioning process that elevates our Purple Fuses making it the world’s highest performance fuse for audio applications. To lower Excite SX’s noise floor and to improve musicality, we add new Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning discs internally at strategic points along the cable shield and inside the connectors for increased resolution without harshness or loss of high-frequency air and extension.

Excite SX is also equipped with grounding wires that allow you to connect the shields of the cables to an outboard ground point and are supplied as standard. The ability to separate the cables shields from your components means noise picked up along the shield is bypassed from your system’s components to house ground for a lower noise floor and improved holography.

And for a lower noise floor still, ground your cable’s shields to an optional Synergistic Research Ground Block or Active Ground Block. Lastly, we make voicing Excite SX to your system easy with an included Galileo SX Gold UEF tuning bullet. Simply listen to the cable with and without the Galileo SX Gold Tuning Bullet and pick the option that makes music in your system.

The previous Atmosphere X Series Cables started as an experiment to explore ways of improving UEF Shielding by placing UEF Tech at strategic grid points on the shields of Atmosphere cables, now called Matrix Shielding. Matrix Shielding arranges UEF elements on a grid pattern of the cable shield to lower its noise floor. Atmosphere SX refines Matrix Shielding further by using new Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning Discs developed expressly for Atmosphere SX to enhance the loom's ability to cancel noise that would otherwise cause high frequencies to sound harsh or fatiguing. As a result of our ongoing research into UEF Shielding, we have pushed the resolution envelope when voicing Atmosphere SX by developing new Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning Discs for a more holographic sound with enhanced resolution and musicality.

Atmosphere Excite SX and Euphoria SX interconnects incorporate the capability to ground your cables to either a wall outlet with the included SR Ground plug or to a Synergistic Research Ground Block (sold separately) to elevate the performance even further. Benefits include a noticeable increase in deep bass power and weight, a more holographic sound field, smoother high frequencies with greater extension and ‘air’, a more present and layered mid-range, increased tonal density with an apparent increase in resolution.

Atmosphere Level 3 UEF Matrix Treatment: 2 different UEF coatings with Graphene are applied to connectors and cabling and ground significantly reducing the noise floor and allowing a purer signal to transfer with less grain providing more warmth and detail. The conductors and ground plane also benefit from dampening effect that UEF provides.

SR Ground Block (optional):

Atmosphere EXCITE SX interconnects have shields that can be grounded direct to earth with supplied ground cables bypassing your component’s power supplies for a lower system noise floor.

To improve performance further still use an optional SR Ground Block with its UEF Ground Filter -or- Active Ground Block to elevate overall system performance; not only can you star ground the shields on Atmosphere EXCITE SX and EUPHORIA SX interconnects and speaker cables to either the passive or ACTIVE Ground Block, but you can also ground all of your system’s components for a dramatic lowering of your system’s noise floor for greater detail, clarity, and musicality.
