Step 1 - Hi-Fi Evaluation (15 - 20 mins)

I’ll ascertain a baseline of your system by requesting that you play 3 - 4 of your favourite tracks


Step 2 - Hi-Fi Optimisation (4 - 4.5 hours)

We'll now delve into the exciting phase of optimising your Hi-Fi system!

Total duration of consultation including setup and removal of equipment: 4 - 5.5 hours

IMPORTANT NOTE: Consultations are only available within a 100-mile radius of Reading, Berkshire.

  • Do I need to pay the £99.00 fee for additional consultations I may want in the future?
    No. The £99.00 fee is for the initial consultation only. If you become a customer after the first consultation any subsequent consultations will not incur any fees from MBS Audio.
  • How far do you travel for consultations?
    MBS Audio offers consultations within an approx 50 mile radius of Reading, Berkshire, UK.
  • Typically, how long are your consultations?
    A consultation will last typically between 4 - 5 hours from arrival to packing up
  • How do I book and pay for the consultation?
    When you're ready to schedule your consultation, simply click on any of the buttons titled ‘Book your Appointment’. This will redirect you to the order page where you can choose an available date and make the payment for the £99.00 consultation fee.
  • I already have room acoustic treatment from brands such as Acustica Applicata, can your products still make a difference?
    Absolutely!! In fact I have a customer who had spent over £10,000 on top-of-the-range Acustica Applicata room treatment and to his surprise one of the products I demoed still made an astonishing improvement. In his own words "I tried removing it from the listening room, but something was then lacking, which returned the instant the FEQ Carbon was reintroduced!"
  • How does hi-fi optimisation differ from simply upgrading components?
    Hi-Fi Optimisation and component upgrading are two distinct approaches to improving audio systems. Optimisation takes a holistic view, considering factors like room acoustics, power quality, and fine-tuning existing components. In contrast, upgrading focuses on replacing individual parts of the system. While upgrading a component can improve specific aspects, hi-fi optimisation aims to enhance the overall performance by addressing the interplay of all elements in the audio chain.
  • Are there any additional costs after the initial consultation fee?
    No, there are not any hidden costs beyond the initial consultation. Once you place an order, all future consultations are provided free of charge for you as an existing customer. I value your custom and will provide ongoing support without additional fees.
  • Do I need to prepare for the consultation?
    You do not need to do anything specific to prepare for the consultation. As I will be listening to your system in situ, everything should be as it normally.
  • Can I choose which products to demo during the consultation?
    My expertise lies in identifying your system's specific needs and introducing products that will yield the best results, some of which might surprise you. I carefully select demo products based on my PAVING framework and initial system assessment.
