Why Optimisation first?
My aim is to help shift mindsets from thinking of a hi-fi system in silos i.e. components and ‘aftermarket accessories’, when in fact, a system needs to be looked at holistically.
I challenge the default by advocating an 'Optimisation first' approach. Why? Because understanding your system's current capabilities can save you from unnecessary expenses on new components that might not even solve the underlying ‘issue’.
Many audio enthusiasts are trapped in this frustrating loop. They continuously swap out components like amplifiers, DACs, and speakers, hoping each new purchase will finally resolve their ‘issues’. The result? A never-ending merry-go-round of expenditures with little to show in terms of real, enhanced sound quality.
It's tempting to get caught in an endless cycle of upgrades, but this isn't inevitable. By keeping an open mind and exploring less conventional approaches, MBS Audio can help you rediscover the true joy of your hi-fi system once more.
